3 Days Murchison Falls Safaris

Your safari begins early at 05:00 hrs, when your Samuwa Adventure Safaris guide/driver picks you up from your residence or hotel. After a brief 5-minute trip orientation, you will begin your journey to Uganda’s largest and oldest national park – Murchison Falls National Park.

You will drive through the Kampala–Gulu highway toward Masindi. Before reaching Masindi town, you may make a brief stop to purchase fresh fruits (optional). Upon arrival in Masindi, you will enjoy lunch before continuing into the park.

Proceed to your lodge to check in, refresh, and prepare for the Evening Game Drive.
The Northern Sector of the park is the most wildlife-rich, offering excellent opportunities to spot: Elephants, Giraffes, Buffaloes, Hippos, Nile crocodiles, various antelopes, Over 450 bird species and, with luck, lions and leopards

The game drive lasts 2–4 hours, after which you return to the southern bank and proceed to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Meal Plan: Half Board

Start the day with an early breakfast at 05:30 hrs. Your driver will pick you up and transfer you to the Northern Sector for a Morning Game Drive – the best time to catch predators returning from a night hunt and herbivores starting their day.

The drive lasts approximately 3 hours and offers another chance to see lions, elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, hippos, warthogs, antelopes, crocodiles, and abundant birdlife.

After lunch, return to the river for an unforgettable Launch Cruise at 14:00 hrs to the Bottom of Murchison Falls. This is one of the highlights of any Ugandan safari. Here, the Nile squeezes through a 6-meter gorge before plunging 42 meters, creating a dramatic thunderous roar.

Along the cruise, expect sightings of Hippos, Nile crocodiles, Elephants, Buffaloes, Monitor lizards and Aquatic birds (Cormorants, African Fish Eagles, Kingfishers, African Open-bill Stork, and others)

After the boat cruise, your guide will take you for a short hike or drive to the Top of the Falls, where you can witness the powerful Nile crashing through the narrow gap — a truly awe-inspiring moment.

Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Enjoy breakfast at 05:30 hrs and prepare for departure.
At 06:15 hrs, begin your journey back to Kampala/Entebbe or directly to the airport, marking the end of your 3-day Murchison Falls safari adventure.
